A star is born...

November 10, 2006...the day Zach was born.
10:46AM @ Delgado Hospital in Quezon City
Normal delivery :)

We went to the hospital at around 1AM due to contractions and blood show. I have withstood painful contractions for almost 9 hours! They gave me anesthesia called "twilight" so I was groggy the whole time. I can only remember the first two pushes I did and I didn't know if after that, Zach already went out. I saw my baby the next day...it was a funny experience when we went to the Nursery room coz Jerry and I didn't thought of using a wheelchair at first and he was telling me to hurry up coz the windows will be closed soon since it was already past the viewing time -- Nursery room is on the second floor! When we saw another new-mom on a wheelchair, that triggered us to get me one. Why didn't we thought of that??!!

The painful stitches were gone when I saw my baby...

My sweet hubby gave me beautiful flowers :)

What's in a name...

Since it was confirmed that our baby is a boy, we chose the name Zach Owen. It could have been Denise Alwyn if it's a girl =)
His name came from an old encyclopedia of names. Here's what it means:
Zach = derived from Zachariah maeaning "Jehovah has remembered"
Owen = "a youthful warrior"

@32 weeks (09/18/2006)...I had a 4D ultrasound to see what my baby looks like and what he does inside. Here's what was captured. We also had videos showing his moves - yawning, changing hands and feet position etc.

And here's the confirmation that it's a baby boy...
